Madison Christine

Madison Christine was born on April 15th at 7:43am. She weighed 7lbs 9oz. She has a head full of dark hair and is such a cutie pie. We feel so blessed!

My parents were taking care of Aubrey while we were at the hospital and so they brought her to visit as soon as we got to our room. However, she was more interested in eating Cheez-its and playing with her cousins Grace and Kate than her new baby sister.

Later that same day, my parents came back with Aubrey to visit. It was soooo cute. She just loved her. She was very sweet and would hold her hands out and ask to hold Madison when someone else was holding her.

One of her favorite things to do is to point to all of Madison's body parts and say what they are.

The next day, Kim brought her family to meet Madison.

And when Aubrey came back the next day, Grammy had put her hair in pigtails for the first time. Super cute!

Ready to go home! As you can see, she's thrilled to be sitting in the car seat. We did have to pull over twice on our way home, but she was happy once we were there!

Update

So, I've decided to try and start blogging again and posting pictures. As you all probably know, we will become a family of four this coming Friday. We are extremely excited and I truly think Aubrey will be a great big sister. I don't think she understands there will be a baby in the house soon but she really enjoys taking care of her baby dolls and others and loves to always help me.

Here's a picture of Aubrey after sleeping in her big girl bed for the first time. She did GREAT! And has done great since. I don't want to jinx myself, but it has been a pretty smooth transition for her.

As we are preparing for the new baby around the house, Aubrey found a pacifier and thought it was so silly to put in her mouth. Keep in mind, she never took a pacifier, not even for 2mns.

Aubrey initially would put her babies in the swing but one night, she decided to get in it herself.

DisneyWorld

Almost a month ago now, Craig's parents took us to DisneyWorld and we had an awesome time. I have been to Disneyland in CA tons of times and it has special memories for me. It was so great to experience DisneyWorld for the first time and Aubrey really loved it. Her favorite ride was Pirates of the Caribbean, but she really just liked any ride that had drops (she was disappointed she's not tall enough for Space Mountain). We spent five days there and went to a different park each day. We went to Magic Kingdom again on the fifth day.

Getting ready to watch "It's a Bug's Life"

On the Jungle Cruise (and the jokes were the exact same as Disneyland 10 years ago, but I still love it!)

Aubrey couldn't wait to ride the elevator every day in our hotel. She would run to it all by herself and would jump while riding it up/down.

Aubrey got the best seat while walking around the parks, Nana's lap on her scooter.

One night we ate at a cool restaurant where one entire wall is an aquarium and there is not a bad seat in the place. Scuba divers would go in and wave at you and do funny things.
I wasn't going to post any pictures without people in them, but this was too cool. This hippo was in an aquarium at Animal Kingdom and was just massive. I had never been so close to one before.

On Wednesday, Craig's sister Sarah and her two girls Isabella and Elaina joined us at Hollywood Studios. We had lots of fun with them and Aubrey and Isabella loved the "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" show.

During one of the parades, Mr. Potato Head came right up to them. Of course, Aubrey shook her head "no" at him.

I just really liked these and have high hopes of Craig doing this in our yard too!

Riding the teacup ride. This little girl joined them b/c she had no one to ride it with.

What a great trip!

Camping

I know it has been awhile since I've blogged, so I will do my best to catch up. At the beginning of Sept we went camping for one night. We weren't sure what to expect from Aubrey, but she LOVED it. The only problem was the sleeping at night, or lack of sleeping I should say.

They had several playgrounds there which she loved.

One of Aubrey's favorite parts was playing with the tent once it was down

She will find a leaf anywhere, even when you didn't think there were any, and want to carry it around with her
